Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a highly organised Stock Controller to oversee inventory across Food, Beverage, and Rooms departments. This hands-on role ensures accurate stock control, proper storage, and efficient issuing of goods while complying with policies, hygiene standards, and procurement procedures.

The Stock Controller will coordinate stock takes, investigate variances, maintain records in inventory systems, and support audit processes.

Qualifications

• You must have a Grade 12/Matric certificate.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in stock control or inventory management.
• Hospitality inventory experience (food, beverage, rooms) is preferred.
• Proficiency with inventory software and strong numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels across all hotel departments with regular reconciliations.
• Review requisitions and issue stock with proper documentation.
• Maintain storeroom operations, ensuring hygiene, safety, and FIFO compliance.
• Coordinate monthly and ad-hoc stock takes and investigate variances.
• Maintain accurate records in inventory systems and support finance/audit processes.
• Act as the point of contact for stock-related queries from departments.
• Collaborate with Hotel Controller, Executive Chef, F&B Manager, Executive Housekeeper, and GM.

This hands‑on role ensures accurate stock control, proper storage, and efficient issuing of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies, hygiene standards, and procurement procedures.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage inventory levels across all hotel departments, ensuring accuracy through regular reconciliations.
• Review departmental requisitions and issue stock efficiently with proper documentation.
• Maintain storeroom operations, ensuring hygiene, safety, and compliance with FIFO principles.
• Coordinate monthly and ad‑hoc stock takes and investigate variances or losses.
• Maintain accurate records in inventory systems and support finance and audit processes.
• Act as the point of contact for stock‑related queries from operational departments.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Controller, Executive Chef, F&B Manager, Executive Housekeeper, and General Manager.

Skills & Competencies:
