About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Stock Controller to manage inventory effectively at their Richards Bay retail outlet. This role is fundamental to ensuring accurate stock levels, minimizing shrinkage, and optimizing inventory turnover. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing stock, conducting regular stock takes, and maintaining detailed inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude for organization and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of stock management processes within the KwaZulu-Natal region, ensuring smooth operations for the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and dispatching goods.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
• Implement and maintain efficient stock control procedures to minimize loss and spoilage.
• Monitor inventory levels and generate reports on stock status, movements, and potential issues.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of stock records in the inventory management system.
• Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to forecast stock needs and manage reordering.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Stock Controller , inventory clerk, or in a similar logistics role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
