Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join their Richards Bay operations. You will maintain accurate stock records, perform cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce costs.

The role requires experience with inventory management software and Excel, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills. You will collaborate with receiving and shipping to ensure proper handling of inventory movements in a busy warehouse

Qualifications

• Experience as Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency with inventory software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of FIFO and LIFO inventory control techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize loss and damage.
