South African Airways (SAA) seeks an experienced STC - Electrician for a 12-month fixed-term contract at Kempton Park. The role covers maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, inspections and installations of electrical systems across SAA facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure.

Qualifications include a Grade 12, Electrician trade test, or equivalent, with 2–3 years post-trade experience in facilities/infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4) required.
• Trade Test Certificate: Electrician essential.
• Electrical Engineering N4–N6 will be an advantage.
• Wireman’s Licence an advantage.
• OHS and First Aid Training an advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years post-trade experience in facilities/critical infra environments.
• Valid Driver’s Licence required.

Responsabilités

• Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
• Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency callouts.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports and work orders.
• Support asset lifecycle planning and replacement initiatives.
• Monitor and supervise electrical contractors.
• Ensure availability and reliability of critical electrical infrastructure.

Job Purpose

The incumbent of the role will perform maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, inspections, and installation of electrical systems and equipment across SAA facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure.
