Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Statutory Compliance Specialist to strengthen our statutory reporting, audit, and tax compliance. You will work with finance teams, external auditors, tax advisors, and key stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and reflect strong controls.

You'll prepare IFRS and local GAAP statements, coordinate year-end activities, review tax and transfer pricing docs, and support Company Secretarial tasks.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IFRS and local GAAP reporting knowledge.
• Experience in statutory accounting, financial reporting, and external audit management.
• Knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, and wider tax compliance obligations.
• Strong stakeholder management and proactive approach.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Ensure statutory accounts are fully reconciled to management accounts, accounting records, and ERP balances.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and statutory reporting working papers.
• Coordinate year-end and periodic statutory reporting activities to meet local and Group reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and review statutory balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany, tax, provision, and equity accounts.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process.
• Coordinate audit requests and facilitate timely resolution of queries with finance teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting analyses for statutory audits.
• Support Company Secretarial activities, including annual returns, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate direct and indirect tax compliance activities across assigned entities.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation and related compliance requirements.
• Coordinate and facilitate tax audits, tax authority enquiries, and reviews, including gathering and validating supporting documentation.
• Maintain tax compliance calendars and monitor statutory filing and payment deadlines across assigned jurisdictions.
• Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and strengthen compliance.
