Job summary

Guardrisk Life Ltd, part of the Guardrisk Group, is seeking a qualified CA(SA) with strong accounting and insurance reporting experience. The role focuses on SAM and IFRS 17 reporting, SARS filings, and group reporting packs within a team of portfolio accountants.

Two to four years post-article experience in life insurance, and familiarity with life insurance tax and statutory guidelines, are advantageous. Audit exposure is beneficial for this position in Sandton.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) with a BCom in Accounting.
• Experience in life insurance and statutory reporting.
• Audit experience in life insurance recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SAM quarterly and annual returns.
• Prepare IFRS 17 financial statements for life insurers.
• Submit SARS returns and related tax filings.
• Prepare group reporting packs and support portfolio accountants.
• Manage year-end external and internal audit processes.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and continuous process improvements.
