Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a data/BI focused professional to develop, maintain and optimize SQL Server databases and queries to support business requirements. You will write complex SQL for data extraction and analysis, and design BI reports and dashboards.

The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, performance tuning, data updates, and ensuring data accuracy across systems. On-premise with after-hours flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL Server architecture, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in writing, updating, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases and queries to support business requirements.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Perform query optimization to ensure efficient database performance.
• Implement and manage data updates, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Design and develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Document database structures, queries, and workflows.
