Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with endorsements for specialized transport.
• Significant experience in transporting abnormal or oversized loads.
• Thorough knowledge of transport regulations pertaining to specialized cargo.
• Familiarity with the Mossel Bay region and Western Cape transport corridors.
• Proficiency in operating specialized vehicles and securing mechanisms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized vehicles and equipment for the transport of oversized or sensitive materials.
• Plan and execute transport routes considering load dimensions, permits, and potential hazards.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured, balanced, and compliant with transport regulations.
• Communicate effectively with escorts, pilot vehicles, and site personnel as required.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and specialized equipment before and after transport.
• Maintain detailed records of transport operations, including route adherence and any incidents.
