About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly responsible Specialized Goods Transporter to operate out of Upington. This role involves the careful and secure transport of specific types of goods, which may require specialized handling or vehicle types, across various distances. The ideal candidate is meticulous, safety-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of logistics and compliance for sensitive cargo. You will be a critical link in the supply chain, ensuring the integrity and timely delivery of valuable or sensitive shipments for clients in the Northern Cape and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport specialized goods, such as high-value items, hazardous materials (if applicable and certified), or temperature-sensitive products, according to strict protocols.
• Operate specialized transport vehicles or equipment as required by the nature of the goods.
• Plan and execute routes with a high degree of care, ensuring adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements specific to the cargo.
• Conduct thorough pre-operation checks of vehicles and equipment, reporting any concerns.
• Maintain detailed records of transport, handling procedures, and delivery confirmation for all specialized shipments.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the cargo throughout the entire transport process.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver's license with a relevant PDP.
• Proven experience in transporting specialized or sensitive goods, with relevant certifications if applicable (e.g., hazardous materials handling).
• Familiarity with the logistics and road networks of the Northern Cape and surrounding provinces.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to manage security protocols and maintain confidentiality regarding cargo.
