Qualifications

• Proven experience in freight handling, warehousing, or a similar physical role.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items safely.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts.
• Understanding of safe loading and securing techniques for various cargo.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle, load, and unload specialized, oversized, or fragile freight with utmost care and precision.
• Ensure all cargo is properly secured using appropriate equipment and methods to prevent damage during transit.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse and loading docks.
• Verify cargo details against shipping documents, reporting any discrepancies.
