The successful candidate will lead load calculations, energy modeling, documentation, and site commissioning, working with architects and electrical engineers across diverse projects in a coastal setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years in HVAC design and application.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and HAP.
• Knowledge of SA building codes (SANS).
• Experience with energy modeling desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including air handling units, chillers, boilers, ducts, and piping layouts.
• Perform load calculations and energy modeling; analyze system performance.
• Prepare P&IDs, schematics, specs, and installation docs.
• Oversee procurement and installation of HVAC equipment.
• Conduct site inspections and commissioning; troubleshoot.
• Ensure compliance with codes and environmental standards.
