Job summary

Successfactors is seeking a Senior Data Analyst/Engineer in Pretoria to import, cleanse, transform, validate and analyse data from diverse sources to extract industry trends and best practices. You will provide expert guidance to achieve business objectives and drive data-driven decisions.

The role requires 8–10 years in data analytics with strong SQL, Python/R skills and experience in data warehousing and BI methodologies. Location is Hilton, Brooklyn Bridge, Pretoria with an on-site work model.

Job Purpose

To be responsible for importing, cleansing, transforming, validating, aggregating and analysing data from various sources with the purpose of making conclusions about industry trends and best practices. To analyse and provide expert advice with regards to data analytics to achieve business objectives.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Data Engineering / Business Data Intelligence / Data Science, with 8 - 10 years' experience in Data Analytics environment, of which 3 - 4 years at a junior specialist level.

Alternative#

Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 15 years’ experience in Data Analytics environment, of which 3 - 4 years at a junior specialist level.

Minimum Functional Requirements

• Experience in Data Engineering / Business Data Intelligence / Data Science.


• Expert (recognized authority) technical expertise regarding data processes, data cleaning, analysis, reporting, data models, and database design and testing.


• Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (SQL or equivalent, etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (SQL, R, Python, etc.). Expert (recognized authority) knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, R etc.). Expert (recognized authority) Data warehouse knowledge.


• Be an expert in the application of: Basic Data Migration, Basic Data Visualization, Business Intelligence Methodologies, Database Knowledge. Expert (recognized authority) Programming Skills.
