Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Experience in corporate transactions (M&A, corporate finance).
• Solid understanding of South African company law and commercial principles.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
• Team player with willingness to learn and grow.
• Admitted to practice law in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, drafting transaction documents, and coordinating closings.
• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, statutory compliance, and company secretarial duties.
• Support clients in corporate finance transactions, including equity and debt financing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Conduct legal research on complex corporate and commercial law issues.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on behalf of the firm.
• Work closely with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client management.
• Assist with the formation and structuring of new business entities.
• Maintain organized client files and ensure adherence to billing procedures.
• Contribute to the firm's knowledge base and business development efforts.
