Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Wellness Facilitator to champion wellness initiatives in Soweto, Gauteng. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and leading engaging health programs for diverse community needs, educating and empowering individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles.

The position is full-time and on-site, requiring active leadership within the Soweto area and collaboration with local stakeholders to promote well-being across the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in health promotion, community health, wellness facilitation, or related field.
• Experience designing and delivering programs in community settings.
• Strong knowledge of public health principles and behavior change theories.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop health and wellness programs covering nutrition, physical activity, mental well-being, and prevention.
• Facilitate engaging group sessions, presentations, and activities for diverse age groups.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify community health priorities in Soweto.
• Provide education and resources to individuals and groups to promote healthy lifestyles.
• Collaborate with local stakeholders and healthcare providers to expand reach and impact.
• Monitor participation, collect feedback, and evaluate outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Maintain records of program activities, participant numbers, and outcomes.
