Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Leisure Activities Facilitator to lead and organize recreational programs for Soweto communities. You will create activity schedules, run events, and ensure participants have a positive, inclusive experience.

Ideal candidates have experience in group activities or youth work, strong organization, and excellent communication skills. First Aid/CPR is a plus; salary is competitive with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating group activities, event coordination, or youth work.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead leisure activities including sports, arts, crafts, games and cultural events.
• Develop engaging program schedules for different ages and interests.
• Ensure safety and well-being of participants by following protocols.
• Source and manage equipment and supplies for activities.
• Encourage participation and foster a positive, inclusive, and fun environment.
• Collaborate with community partners and volunteers to expand offerings.
