Hospitality and Outdoor is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury lodge in Kruger, Skukuza. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef with strong lodge kitchen management experience to join a professional hospitality operation. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef, maintain exceptional culinary standards, and lead the kitchen team in delivering consistently high-quality dishes and memorable guest experiences in Limpopo.

Job Requirements – Chef Lodge Kitchen Management

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a 4/5-star lodge environment – Essential.
• Cooking and Hygiene qualifications are beneficial.
• Proven ability in menu compilation and implementation.
• Strong kitchen leadership skills, including coordinating staff, rostering, ordering stock and maintaining high presentation standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of dietary requirements and the ability to accommodate guest needs.
• Experience creating, implementing and maintaining written control documents and training manuals.
• Strong understanding of stock procedures, portion control, stock rotation and kitchen cost control.
• Good knowledge of planning, budgeting and departmental administration.
• Ability to maintain excellent hygiene, health and safety standards and support recycling initiatives.
• Strong focus on training and developing junior kitchen staff while continuously improving personal culinary knowledge.
• Ability to manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence and provide clear handovers between shifts.
• Careful handling of kitchen equipment, with maintenance issues reported promptly to management.
