Job summary

Fusion Personnel in Gauteng is seeking a procurement professional to source local and international products for client specifications and to manage the full procurement process from RFQ through to delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a background in mining/engineering products, strong negotiation and communication skills, and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• 3-5 years' experience in sourcing, procurement or purchasing.
• Experience sourcing technical, mining, engineering, industrial or mechanical products.
• Understanding of the RFQ and procurement process.
• Experience dealing with local and international suppliers.
• Import/export or international procurement experience will be highly advantageous.
• Previous exposure to mining suppliers, industrial equipment, pumps, bearings, valves, power transmission, spare parts or engineering products will be advantageous.
• Good computer skills and experience using CRM or ERP systems (Xero, Unleashed or similar will be beneficial).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Source local and international products according to client specifications.
• Identify alternative products and suppliers when required items are unavailable.
• Manage the full procurement process from RFQ through to delivery.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing where possible.
• Liaise with local and international suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and product availability.
• Coordinate import and export documentation where applicable.
• Ensure orders are processed, packaged and delivered accurately and on time.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
• Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into sales.
• Capture and maintain accurate information on the company's CRM system.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service throughout the procurement process.
