Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain, Project Procurement, or Contract Administration.
  • Proven experience within Mining, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing, Piping, Valves, Fittings, Fabrication, or Construction sectors.
  • Project Management qualification or exposure advantageous.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management experience.
  • Experience managing tenders, RFQs, estimates, and project procurement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that deliver cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements with suppliers for large-value buyout purchases.
  • Source local and imported materials, products, and subcontracted services.
  • Manage RFQs, tenders, quotations, supplier evaluations, and procurement contracts.
  • Develop and maintain approved supplier databases and pricing schedules.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Manage inventory planning, replenishment, and stock optimization.
  • Oversee inventory control systems and inventory accuracy.
  • Lead stock takes and Work-in-Progress (WIP) control.
  • Monitor back orders, stock availability, and stock movement performance.
  • Ensure inventory is available to support customer orders and project execution.
  • Reduce inventory-related risks through forecasting and proactive planning.
  • Controlling inventory and fabricated stock items across operational environments.
  • Managing back-order control, WIP reporting, stock takes, goods receipts, stock transfers, and inventory reconciliation processes.
  • Ensuring seamless inventory availability to support customer requirements and project deadlines.
  • Support project teams during tender, planning, and execution phases.
  • Procure materials for mining, engineering, fabrication, and infrastructure projects.
  • Manage procurement activities from tender award through project completion.
  • Coordinate supplier deliveries, quality inspections, and project milestones.
  • Work closely with quality control and expediting teams to ensure project success.
  • Successfully negotiating pricing and supply agreements with suppliers on large procurement contracts.
  • Managing procurement for high-value mining, industrial, fabrication, and infrastructure projects.
