Qualifications

• A relevant ICT degree or NQF 7 ICT equivalent qualification.
• MCSD.Net or MCAD or Azure Developer Associate certification is compulsory.
• Six+ years designing software applications including integration solutions.
• Six+ years developing software applications including integration solutions.
• Six+ years in software development project management using agile methods.
• Six+ years using Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio .NET, Power Platform, MSSQL.
• Six+ years developing medium-to-large scale web applications.
• Six+ years MSSQL server administration.
• Six+ years in application support.
• Three+ years DevOps experience.
• Two+ years data security experience.
• ITIL foundation certification is advantageous.
• Agile PM certification advantageous.
• Cloud technologies experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate developers, database administration and application support teams.
• Provide technical direction and guidance on technology selection and design decisions.
• Foster effective communication within development and cross-functional teams.
• Develop project plans, break tasks and estimate timelines.
• Lead troubleshooting and promote proactive problem solving.
• Assign technical tasks and review team work.
• Oversee codebase maintenance, reviews and standards.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations or training.
• Create and maintain documentation of procedures, designs and deployments.
• Develop security controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Create proofs of concept for new technologies before full-scale implementation.
• Report on performance of development, application support, and databases.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality and speed.
• Mentor and coach junior resources to grow technical skills.
• Ensure data governance and ICT process compliance.
• Provide project updates and communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
