Solution Designer Native Engine Country Build

The Solution Designer plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technical execution for the Native Engine Country Build. Acting as a key link between stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams, this role ensures requirements are captured, translated into technical specifications, and implemented effectively.

You\u2019ll be hands-on with system configuration, while also designing detailed specifications for product and development teams when custom solutions are needed. Ultimately, you\u2019ll be accountable for ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, compliant, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Configure and implement solutions using available tools.
  • Create technical specifications when custom development is required.
  • Collaborate with development teams to validate feasibility and designs.
  • Finalise configurations and validate solutions against scoped requirements.

Quality Assurance & Validation

  • Conduct functional testing and validation.
  • Support UAT and resolve any defects or gaps.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a liaison between business, product, development, and compliance teams.
  • Provide feedback to improve product capabilities and configuration tools.
  • Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and knowledge sharing.

Agile Ways of Working

  • Take part in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retros.
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master or Senior Solution Designer to define and prioritise tasks.
  • Support the team to meet sprint commitments and delivery goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in solution design, business analysis, or systems configuration, ideally in payroll, HR, or financial systems.
  • Strong track record of translating business requirements into technical documentation and system configurations.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms, configuration tools, and enterprise system design.
  • Background in agile environments, collaborating with product and development teams.
