Placements24 is seeking a Solar Panel Installation Technician to join our Paarl-based team. The role involves hands-on installation of PV systems for residential and commercial clients, ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

You will handle mounting, wiring, inverters, and system testing, working both in teams and independently in various weather conditions. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solar Panel Installer or in electrical installation/trades.
• Familiarity with PV system components, wiring, and installation techniques.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, especially high‑voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Install PV systems with mounting hardware, panels, and wiring according to design and local codes.
• Make electrical connections: string panels, connect inverters, and integrate systems with existing electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct pre-installation site surveys to assess suitability and plan installation logistics.
• Ensure all installations meet safety standards and company protocols, including working at heights.
• Test installed systems and provide client orientation to ensure satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-installation site surveys to assess suitability and plan installation logistics.
• Ensure all installations adhere to strict safety standards and company protocols, including working at heights.

• Provide basic system orientation to clients and ensure their satisfaction with the installation.

Requirements
