Placements24 is seeking a Solar Energy Systems Specialist for a fully remote role focused on the technical design and support of solar PV systems. You will design, specify, and troubleshoot PV installations while collaborating with sales, engineering, and installation teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of PV design experience and strong knowledge of PV modules, inverters, batteries, and mounting structures, plus PV design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design and engineering of solar PV systems.
• In-depth knowledge of PV modules, inverters, batteries, mounting structures.
• Proficiency with PV design software (PVsyst, Aurora Solar, Helioscope).
• Understanding of electrical/building codes and interconnection standards for solar.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer solar PV systems, including component selection, layout, and electrical schematics.
• Perform site assessments and analyze energy production potential for various installations.
• Provide expert technical support to sales teams, installers, and customers on solar design and performance.
