Job summary

ATS Client in Cape Town seeks a seasoned Software Test Engineer to uncover defects, ensure software quality, and support integration across Linux, Windows and macOS environments.

Candidates should hold a CS/SE degree, ISTQB/ISEB, 3+ years in testing, strong SDLC knowledge, test planning and defect management, and experience with Python, SQL or Bash, plus Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, DBeaver and VS Code. Contact Chelsea Fisher for details.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• ISTQB or ISEB Certification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance or Software Integration.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with test planning, execution and defect management.
• Linux proficiency.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform detailed root cause analysis.
• Experience working with Python, SQL and/or Bash.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, DBeaver and Visual Studio Code.
• Comfortable working across Linux, Windows and macOS environments.
