Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to help build and enhance web-based software that supports pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device manufacturers in meeting global regulatory requirements.

You will contribute across backend services, user interfaces, data platforms, and cloud technologies while applying AI-assisted development practices responsibly. The role emphasizes maintainability and secure, high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including queries and performance.
• Knowledge of automated testing, Git, and code reviews.
• Experience using AI coding tools or willingness to adopt them.
• Ability to own moderately complex tasks and communicate trade-offs.
• Commitment to security, data privacy, reliability, and documentation.
• Familiarity with Azure services, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and life sciences domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain C#/.NET APIs, microservices, background processes, and Angular UIs.
• Modernize legacy applications with well-scoped changes for maintainability and UX.
• Design and work with Microsoft SQL Server data models and integrations.
• Use AI development tools to plan, implement, test, and document work; review AI output.
• Write automated tests and practice test-driven development when appropriate.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Work with Azure services, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring to support production software.
• Collaborate with product, quality engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams from requirements to release.
