Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional, part of RELX, is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to build and modernize web-based software for global regulatory needs. You will work across backend services, data platforms, and cloud technologies, applying AI-assisted development practices with a focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Practical experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries and data access considerations.
• Experience with automated testing, Git, code review, and iterative software delivery.
• Experience using AI coding tools or willingness to adopt them.
• Ability to own moderately complex tasks and communicate progress and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain C#/.NET APIs, microservices, background processes, and Angular user interfaces.
• Modernize legacy applications with well-scoped changes.
• Design and work with Microsoft SQL Server data models, queries, and integrations.
• Use approved AI development tools to plan, implement, test, and document work; validate AI-generated output.
• Write automated tests and practice test-driven development where appropriate.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Work with Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production support.
• Collaborate with product, quality engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams throughout the release cycle.
