Gauteng Children’s Rights Committee (GCRC) is an NGO established in9, initially as a provincial structure of the National Children’s Rights Committee (NCRC). GCRC acquired its independent legal status from NCRC in 4. It is registered with the NPO office – Department of Social Development, with registration number – .

Their main objective is to promote and protect the rights of children in Gauteng. This is done through different programmes and projects in its fold that address the 4 main areas of children’s rights namely, the right of a child to protection, development, survival and participation as outlined in the following policy and legislative framework.
