Job summary

SAMY X at team5pm seeks a Mid-level Short Form Video Editor to shape stories for social platforms. You’ll cut footage, refine scripts with creatives, and bring fresh ideas from the latest trends.

You’ll work closely with global teams, explore generative AI and automation, and own projects from first cut to final delivery. Strong sense for what captures attention and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of video editing experience in social space (TikTok, Snapchat, META, YouTube)
• Owns a personal social content account on platforms mentioned
• Knows how to drive views without being a trend copycat
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and CapCut
• Strong editing and sound editing experience
• Knows how to translate social scripts to social-first videos
• Strong sense for trends and audience retention
• Genuine interest in generative AI and automation; eager to share learnings
• Assertive, proactive attitude; speaks up and raises the bar
• Confident in skills and energizes the team
• Fluent written and spoken English; Dutch and/or German a plus
• Comfortable communicating across cultures
• Curious mindset and eagerness to keep learning

• Edit compelling short form video content for all social platforms (TikTok, Snapchat, META, YouTube)
• Challenge and inspire creatives to elevate scripts and videos
• Stay on top of current trends in short-form video and bring them into our work
• Explore generative AI tools and AI automations, and help teammates learn them
• Take initiative and ownership of projects from first cut to final delivery
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients and partners around the world
• Improvements for the wider organization
• Extra dedication on social knowledge and longform YouTube content

As our Short form Video Editor, you’ll be a key creative voice on the team. You won’t just cut footage and create timelines. You’ll help shape the story. You’ll work closely with our creatives to sharpen scripts and concepts, and bring in fresh ideas from the latest social trends. You’ll also help the team get more out of generative AI and automation!

What you bring

• 3+ years of video editing experience, in the social space of Tik Tok, Snapchat, META and YouTube.
• Preferably have your own social content account on any of the platforms mentioned in the previous point.
• You know how to get more views and likes, but without being just a trend copycat
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Capcut
• A lot of experience in editing and sound editing
• You know how to translate a social script to a social first video
• A strong sense for what’s trending and what keeps audiences watching
• Genuine interest in generative AI and automation, and enthusiasm for sharing what you learn
• An assertive, proactive attitude: you speak up, take initiative and raise the bar
• Confidence in your skills, and the energy to lift the team around you
• Fluent written and spoken English - a bonus would be Dutch and/or German
• Comfortable communicating with people from different countries and cultures
• A curious mindset and an eagerness to keep learning
