Job summary

team5pm, part of SAMY, seeks an Intermediate/Senior Video Editor to shape stories, edit long-form and short-form content, and collaborate with global creatives. You’ll refine scripts, stay ahead of trends, and bring fresh ideas from the latest social trends. Experience with AI and automation is a plus, and a YouTube channel is a bonus.

You’ll work with a team that values experimentation and cultural relevance, delivering compelling videos for social platforms and brand storytelling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of video editing experience in commercial/advertising and YouTube long-form content.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and strong command of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in multicam sequence editing and sound editing.
• Solid skills in After Effects and Photoshop for animation and design work.
• Affinity with long-form storytelling; ideally short-form content as well.
• Strong sense for current trends and what keeps audiences watching.
• Genuine interest in generative AI and automation; willing to share learnings.
• Assertive, proactive attitude; speak up, take initiative, raise the bar.
• Fluent written and spoken English AND Dutch and/or German.
• Able to communicate with people from different countries and cultures.
• Bonus: own YouTube channel to showcase performance.

Responsibilities

• Edit long-form video content and short-form content for social platforms (TikTok, Snapchat, META, YouTube).
• Inspire creatives to elevate scripts and videos to the next level.
• Stay on top of trends in long-form and short-form video and apply them to work.
• Create motion graphics and animations; assist with design as needed.
• Explore generative AI tools and automate processes; help teammates learn them.
• Take ownership of projects from first cut to final delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients and partners around the world.
• Contribute improvements for the wider organization.
• Show social knowledge and focus on long-form YouTube content.

As our Intermediate / Senior Video Editor, you’ll be a key creative voice on the team. You won’t just cut footage and create timelines. You’ll help shape the story. You’ll work closely with our creatives to sharpen scripts and concepts, edit long-form content (and short-form too), and bring in fresh ideas from the latest (social) trends. You’ll also help the team get more out of generative AI and automation.

What you bring

• 6+ years of video editing experience, in commercial/advertising work and YouTube long-form content
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite
• A lot of experience in multicam sequence editing and sound editing
• Solid skills in After Effects and Photoshop for animation and design work
• A real affinity with long-form storytelling, and ideally experience with short-form content too
• A strong sense for what’s trending and what keeps audiences watching
• Genuine interest in generative AI and automation, and enthusiasm for sharing what you learn
• An assertive, proactive attitude: you speak up, take initiative and raise the bar
• Confidence in your skills, and the energy to lift the team around you
• Fluent written and spoken English AND Dutch and/or German
• Comfortable communicating with people from different countries and cultures

• A big bonus would be if you have your own Youtube channel and is able to showcase your performance
