Job summary

Mr Price Group Limited is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join a fast-paced marketing team in Durban. You will build organic social campaigns, brief in content with the Brand Head, monitor campaigns and engage with audiences across platforms.

You will also compile cross-market reports, support customer care, manage competitions and drive community engagement with a proactive, collaborative approach to social media excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Marketing or Brand.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a social media role.
• Copywriting experience is preferred.
• Ability to analyse reports and data.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of all social media platforms and a passion for it.
• Proactive and ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Building campaigns for organic social across market
• Work with the Brand Head to plan & brief in relevant social content
• Monitoring and optimizing all Social Media campaigns
• Create reactive social content of product and social trends to engage target audiences.
• Compiling reports for Social across market
• Seek opportunities to develop knowledge and skill in optimizing social media engagement.
• Working closely with customer care to resolve queries
• Manage all social competitions – track number of entries, communicate with winners and ensure prizes are sent timeously.
