Placements24 in George is seeking a proficient Carpenter to contribute their expertise to construction projects in the George area. This role covers framing, fixtures, and finishes with a focus on accuracy and quality in every task.

You will read drawings, measure and cut wood and related materials, install doors and fixtures, and uphold safety and craftsmanship on diverse sites near the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Carpenter with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, planes, and sanders.
• Solid understanding of carpentry techniques and joinery.
• Ability to work from detailed drawings and specifications.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
• Perform framing, sheathing, roofing, and exterior finishing tasks.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, and hardware.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
