Placements24 is seeking an experienced Site Manager for on-site oversight of commercial construction projects in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role requires hands-on leadership to drive safety, schedule adherence, and quality workmanship on multiple concurrent sites.

You will manage subcontractors, coordinate logistics, and report progress to stakeholders, ensuring projects meet timelines and budget targets while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction site management, focused on commercial builds.
• Diploma or degree in construction management or related field is required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all day-to-day on-site construction activities for commercial projects.
• Develop and implement detailed project schedules with milestones and timelines.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel for efficient work flow.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections for progress and quality against plans.
• Manage site logistics, including procurement, equipment, and waste management.
• Resolve on-site conflicts promptly and effectively.
• Prepare progress reports for project stakeholders.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and authorities.
