Job summary

Freerecruit is seeking a hands-on Construction Site Foreman to lead daily operations on multiple sites around Centurion. You will supervise a crew, enforce safety plans, and ensure work aligns with project drawings and specifications.

The role requires strong leadership, practical construction knowledge, and the ability to guide the team to meet milestones while maintaining quality. Centurion-based sites offer diverse projects and a focus on on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory construction experience.
• Knowledge of Gauteng building codes and safety regs.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the daily activities of construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and site safety plans, conducting daily safety briefings.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings, assigning tasks based on skills and project requirements.
• Manage on-site materials and equipment, ensuring efficient utilization and proper storage.
• Maintain daily logs of work performed, site conditions and issues, reporting to the Project Manager.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications before sign-off.

Construction Site Foreman

Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Construction Site Foreman to lead daily operations on various construction sites in and around Centurion. You will be directly responsible for supervising a crew of construction workers, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications. This role is critical to maintaining productivity and quality on-site, requiring strong leadership and practical construction knowledge to guide the team effectively and ensure project milestones are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the daily activities of construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
• Implement and enforce all safety regulations and site-specific safety plans, conducting daily safety briefings.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings, assigning tasks to workers based on their skills and project requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role for at least 5 years.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations in Gauteng.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to work on active construction sites in various weather conditions.
