Job summary

Kwena Human Capital is seeking an Electrical & Equipment QC Inspector for the Redstone PV + BESS project, a 19 MWp solar plant with 30 MWh / 4-hour BESS. The role is on-site in a full-time capacity, coordinating across PV, electrical and BESS disciplines and ensuring quality from construction through close-out.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in electrical QC/inspection, familiarity with ITPs, NCRs and quality documentation, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• National Diploma / N6 / NQF Level 6 in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in electrical quality control and inspection.
• Experience as Electrical QC Inspector on large-scale construction, EPC, renewable energy or industrial projects.
• Experience with ITPs, inspection requests, NCRs, corrective actions and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality principles would be advantageous.
• Utility-scale Solar PV and BESS experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support project team to deliver works per approved programme, specs and project requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between PV, electrical, BESS, SCADA/PTMC and other disciplines.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning.
• Supervise and coordinate site activities within the discipline and manage subcontractor work fronts.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available and monitor productivity and workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, ITPs and quality requirements and support close-out.
