Job summary

Solenis seeks a hands-on Chemical Operator to manage bottle washing, chemical dosing prep, and daily equipment checks. The role requires precise handling of chemicals, label integrity, and housekeeping in the dosing area.

The candidate will receive deliveries, decant chemicals, perform carryover tests, and maintain accurate records for pH, water hardness, and temperatures across BW and related processes. On-site work with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Receive chemical deliveries
• Decant chemicals
• Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to day tanks, if necessary
• Ensure good housekeeping around the chemical dosing area
• Ensure that chemical labels are intact—replace if damaged
• Wipe the pump housing with a damp cloth to remove chemical residue, dust, etc.
• Keep the surface of the day tanks clean and tidy at all times
• Check water hardness and record results
• Check the pH of BW Rinse sections and record the results
• Check the temperature of bottles at BW discharge and Filler infeed—record results
• Conduct label carryover test—record results
• Conduct caustic carryover test results
• Crate washer
• Complete on a daily basis the Operator Task list
• All actions given to you by the technician or manager are completed with time
• Check all equipment on a daily basis (ensure spares are kept on site)
• Attend safety and Diversey meetings
• Highlight concerns to technicians
• Assist Technicians with stock control in storage areas
• Submit relevant paperwork after deliveries to Technicians
• Receive and handle chemical deliveries onsite
