Global Medical Safety and Risk Solutions PTY seeks two qualified ILS/ECA/ECT/ALS practitioners for a two-month site-based contract in Cape Town. The roles require full-day coverage, independent work within your scope of practice, and support from the GMSRS clinical and operations teams.

Applicants must hold current HPCSA registration in one of the listed scopes, be CPD compliant, and demonstrate strong English communication and teamwork. Transport to site is required.

Through our Site-Based Medical Services division, we provide professional medical personnel, clinical governance and operational support to clients working in a range of dynamic environments.

Role Overview

We are looking for two suitably qualified ILS / ECA / ECT / ALS practitioners to support one of our clients' Cape Town-based operations for a two-month period from 1 December 2026 to 31 January 2027.

This is a site-based role requiring full-day coverage and the ability to work independently and confidently within your registered scope of practice, while supported by GMSRS's wider clinical and operational structures.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid and current HPCSA registration within one of the following scopes:
  • Intermediate Life Support (ILS)
  • Emergency Care Assistant (ECA)
  • Emergency Care Technician (ECT)
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• CPD compliant in accordance with HPCSA requirements
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Basic computer literacy, with Microsoft 365 proficiency advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgement within scope of practice
• Professional approach to patient care, documentation and client interaction
• Own reliable transport to and from the site
• Availability for the full contract period from 1 December 2026 to 31 January 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare and first-response medical support onsite
• Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate treatment within scope of practice
• Provide appropriate follow-up care where required
• Respond to onsite medical emergencies and assist with coordinating further medical care or escalation where necessary
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Complete and submit site-based medical, incident and operational reports as required
• Maintain medical equipment and ensure operational readiness throughout each shift
• Work closely with the client, GMSRS clinical team and operational support structures

Remuneration

Industry-related rates will apply and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on qualification and experience.
