Pro Contracts is seeking an Estimator to manage tenders from enquiry to submission under the Commercial Director, then support handover to project managers with suppliers. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working on interiors and/or shopfitting projects, with a background in the trade.

The role requires interpreting drawings, producing detailed enquiries, and communicating pricing and requirements to subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing.

Competenze

• Experience in the Shopfitting and Interior fit-out industry - 3 years or more.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret drawings.
• Within commutable distance.
• Ability to produce take-offs and prepare bill of quantities.
• Ability to send detailed, trade-specific enquiries and accurately communicate relevant information to the various subcontractors to ensure accuracy of pricing.
• Sound knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience in reviewing quotations to ensure fair, accurate, and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval.
• Ability to understand and identify main points in contracts from clients.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Sound ability to prioritise.
• Self-motivated, pro-active, and keen to develop their role within the business.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Valid driving license.

Estimator Job Description

The ‘Estimator’ is an integral member of the team responsible for dealing with tenders from receipt of enquiry, sending out enquiries to subcontractors, finalizing tenders to submission under the direction of the Commercial Director. Upon a tender being successful, you will then be required to complete a handover and support the project managers in liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, as and when required.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working on interiors and/or shop fitting projects, preferably with a background in the trade.
