Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Warehouse Receiver/Despatch associate to verify incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. You will communicate with suppliers, weigh and measure items, and ensure accurate records against bills of lading and invoices.

You will manage goods receiving, despatching areas, inventory and related housekeeping, and operate a forklift for moving shipments. A proactive team player with strong numeracy and MS Office skills will fit well.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Exposure to railway rolling stock is advantageous.
• Accurate counting, measuring and record keeping skills.
• Able to operate MS Office and basic computer systems.
• Willingness to travel to inspections and sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices and orders.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move shipments and load/unload goods.
• Inspect shipments, record shortages or damages, and liaise with shippers to resolve.
• Receive products, ensure accuracy, and store in designated areas.
• Maintain housekeeping and stock areas; route items to departments.
• Adhere to company shipping standards and labeling requirements.
