Job summary

Quantum Foods in George, Western Cape, is seeking a Shift Supervisor II / Feedmaker to lead the production shift at our George milling plant. You will ensure raw material compliance, control shift production planning and process flows, and manage a team of operators.

The role requires knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and maintenance targets. You must be willing to work shifts and uphold health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in shift production planning and process control.
• Ability to manage a production team and oversee subordinates.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 requirements.
• Willingness to work shifts and adhere to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure raw material compliance to set requirements.

Introduction

Quantum Foods has a career opportunity within its Nova Feeds Division for a Shift Supervisor II / Feedmaker. This position will be based at our Feed milling plant in George and report directly to the Production Supervisor. This position will primarily be responsible for a shift in the Production department.

• Ensure that the Raw Materials comply to the set requirements.
• Control all shift related Production planning, Process and Product flows.
• Manage subordinates and maintain industrial relations.
• Manage Raw Material stock levels.
• Comply to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Assist management and peers to exceed performance requirements.
• Ensure Pellet durability tests are performed and process adjustments made.
• Ensure Efficiency and maintenance target are met.
• Daily shift report must be accurate and complete.
• Provide safety and ISO training to team.
• Pre-shift safety inspection and ensure lockout procedure are adhered to.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures & rules are adhered to.
• Manage shift cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Feed industry Experience would be advantageous
