Job summary

RAVA HUMAN CAPITAL is recruiting a Shift Millwright for Mthatha, Eastern Cape. The role requires a Trade Tested Millwright with 3 years of manufacturing experience and strong Allen-Bradley/Siemens PLC fault-finding abilities, plus hands-on work with AC/DC drives, panel wiring, pneumatics and hydraulics.

The successful candidate will perform proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis via PLCs, and ensure safety and compliance while following maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Trade tested Millwright certification is required.
• 3 years manufacturing experience after trade test.
• 3 years experience with Allen Bradley PLC fault finding.
• 3 years experience on AC/DC drives.
• 3 years experience on panel wiring.
• 3 years experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electrical skills favored (80%) over mechanical (20%).

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive and planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Fault find using PLC as a fault-finding tool.
• Test and evaluate equipment for irregularities and repair accordingly.
• Investigate problem areas from electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Ensure safety installations and compliance.
• Utilize planned maintenance schedules and shutdown plans.

DUTIES

• Complete proactive and planned maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical equipment
• Fault finding using PLC as a fault-finding tool
• Testing and evaluating equipment for irregularities then repairing the same
• Investigation problem areas by reding and working from electrical and mechanical drawings
• Safety installations and compliance
• Using the planned maintenance system with reference to the incline maintenance schedules and shutdown maintenance schedules
