Job summary

City of Ekurhuleni is inviting applications for a SHE Manager in the Community Safety Department in Gauteng. The role oversees health, safety and environmental governance across fire facilities, assets and infrastructure within the region.

Candidates should hold high-level fire technology qualifications (SAESI Level/ND equivalence), with seven years in a similar environment, a valid EC Driver's Licence with PrDP, and experience in operating relevant equipment.

Qualifications

• SAESI Higher Diploma in Fire Technology or equivalent.
• IFE Level 3 Certificate or 2nd year of ND Fire Technology or equivalent.
• Valid EC Driver's Licence with PrDP and pumping/ TLb operator capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage upkeep and maintenance of Fire Station facilities and assets.
• Implement auxiliary services for Fire Stations and regional infrastructure.
• Adhere to governance, risk management and statutory requirements.
• Develop customer service excellence and protect life and property.
• Continuously assess personal performance and professional conduct with stakeholders.
