Job summary

Qualifications

• Trade-tested Electrician qualification required.
• Minimum of an N4 Electrical certificate.
• 3–5 years as an Artisan in FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of PLC and relay control circuit fault-finding.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Attend to and maintain plant production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Maintain equipment on production lines and high-speed manufacturing lines.
• Fault-find, diagnose and repair electrical faults in production equipment.
• Assist in installing and wiring new equipment and control panels.
• Handle breakdowns promptly in line with MTTR targets.
• Document work and use digital tools for reporting.
• Read blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs.
