Job summary

Gauteng Provincial Government, Department of Health, is seeking a Professional Nurse with a valid SANC registration to provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care. The role requires a Senior Certificate/Grade 12 and a Degree/Diploma in General Nursing, plus registration with SANC and at least two years' post-registration experience.

Job description

Requirements :

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification; Basic R425 or R171 qualification (Degree/Diploma in General Nursing that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse); proof of current registration with SANC. A minimum of 2 years' appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.

Duties :

• Provision of high-quality nursing care that is holistic and is patient-centred. Ensuring that nursing care provided is within the scope of practice of nurses and the legal framework. Maintaining a professional and ethical practice as well as an enabling environment for ethical practice. Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Participate in management and utilize physical, financial and human resources to fulfil operational and developmental functions in accordance with legislation and policies. Participate in research, training of staff, students, personal development and CPD (continuing professional development). Ensure compliance with Six Ministerial Priorities.
