Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a seasoned Service Manager to lead field service and workshop operations for industrial compressors and blowers. You will manage service teams, plan breakdowns and preventive maintenance, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will drive customer engagement, identify repair and upgrade opportunities, monitor performance and profitability, and guide root-cause analysis for continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• Trade-tested Millwright certification is essential.
• Management or supervisory training is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

• Ensure high standards of technical quality, workmanship and service delivery
• Manage customer escalations and ensure clear, proactive communication
• Identify opportunities for repairs, rebuilds, parts, upgrades and service agreements
• Monitor service performance, turnaround times, labour utilisation and profitability
• Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement across service operations
• Oversee service reporting, job closure, parts requirements and warranty processes
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and maintenance standards

Skills & Experience

• 7–10+ years’ experience in industrial service, rotating equipment, workshop or field-service management
• Strong experience with compressors, blowers, vacuum systems or similar rotating equipment
• Proven leadership experience managing technical service teams
• Strong customer-facing and relationship management abilities
• Commercially minded with experience identifying and converting service opportunities
• Strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Able to manage multiple service demands while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
