The ideal candidate has broad Windows Server and Azure experience, strong scripting (PowerShell), and a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure system health, performance and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure VMs, Azure AD, Azure Storage).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including VMs, storage, and networking.
• Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery solutions, and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and application software.
• Ensure system security by implementing and managing security controls, patching, and antivirus solutions.
• Monitor system performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
