Job summary

Red Rocket South Africa (Pty) Ltd. is looking for a Senior Specialist: Wind Project Development to support the Wind Development Manager and drive the identification, development and execution of utility and small-scale wind and BESS projects.

You will oversee development activities from greenfield to financial close and coordinate with the team to ensure alignment with policies and industry standards. The role focuses on tender preparation, project planning, stakeholder engagement, permitting,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in renewable energy project development.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of wind project development activities across greenfield and brownfield sites.
Coordinate land acquisition, permitting, environmental approvals and grid processes.
Lead tender preparation, analysis and submission for wind and BESS projects.
Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain project trackers and monitor progress toward milestones and financial close.
Support Land Acquisition and Development Legal Counsel to manage due diligence.
