About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lead Smart Contract Developer to spearhead their smart contract development initiatives from Rustenburg . You will lead a team of talented developers in designing, implementing, and testing secure and efficient smart contracts for various decentralized applications. This pivotal role within our Crypto & Blockchain division requires a deep understanding of blockchain security, Solidity programming, and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure and efficient smart contracts on platforms like Ethereum.
• Mentor and guide junior smart contract developers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Develop and enforce coding standards, best practices, and security protocols for smart contract development.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define smart contract functionalities and architecture.
• Conduct rigorous testing, auditing, and security analysis of smart contracts to prevent vulnerabilities.
• Optimize smart contract gas usage and performance for production environments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing and deploying production-ready smart contracts using Solidity or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architectures, cryptographic principles , and security best practices.
• Proven experience leading development teams and managing complex projects.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols, NFT standards, and related blockchain ecosystems.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Truffle, Hardhat) and audit processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
