Job summary

ATS Client in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Web Developer with strong .NET and front-end capabilities to modernise high-stakes web apps relied on by millions. You will design, build, and optimise multi-tier systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability across environments.

The role requires deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, ASP.NET, HTML5, React, RESTful services, and SQL Server/Azure SQL. API testing with SoapUI and Postman is essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification or Matric with extensive development experience in a custom software environment.
• Strong .NET C# proficiency with enterprise web apps experience.
• Minimum 5 years as a Senior Web Developer in a multi-tier .NET environment.
• At least 10 years as a Front-End Developer.
• Hands-on with JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, ASP.NET, HTML5, React.
• Experience with RESTful services using JSON and XML.
• Proficient with SQL Server (2008+), Azure SQL.
• API testing experience with SoapUI and Postman.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing functionality while designing new components.
• Understand product architecture and refine requirements with business analysts.
• Refactor and modernise code for long-term maintainability and scalability.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and high availability.
• Create unit and integration tests; support functional testing.
• Produce technical documentation outlining architecture and guidelines.
• Conduct root cause analyses to resolve defects in complex systems.
• Build, package, and deploy applications to servers or cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve development standards.
