Job summary

Competent Candidates is recruiting a Snr Wealth Assistant in the Western Cape. The role focuses on processing new business, servicing existing clients, and supporting retirement and life insurance transfers, with emphasis on regulatory compliance (FICA/FAIS).

The candidate should have 5+ years in investment financial services and 3+ years in broker support, fluent in English and Afrikaans, and be proficient with investment and risk platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in the investment financial services industry is essential.
• 3+ years experience in the broker support environment is essential.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Process new business for clients in line with company policies.
• Follow up on outstanding/incomplete client business and coordinate with Wealth Manager/Advisor.
• Assist with retirement claims, sections 14 & 37 transfers, and related retirement processes.
• Support with life assurance applications including Whole Life, Keyman and Buy and Sell.
• Transfer clients from Living Annuity to Life Annuity where applicable.
• Review clients’ Wills in consultation with Wealth Manager/Advisor; manage payments via Investec saver account.
