Job summary

Craven Cottage CC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major warehouse expansion in Gauteng. You will own the delivery programme, monitor time, cost and quality, and drive governance and reporting to executives.

You will coordinate main contractors and professional teams, manage risks and variations, and ensure seamless operation of the live warehouse during construction, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years’ construction/project management experience.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale construction projects.
• Experience managing main contractors, subcontractors and teams.
• Strong programme, budget, cost-control and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall accountability for the successful delivery of the warehouse expansion project.
• Develop and manage the project programme, budget, milestones, critical path and key deliverables.
• Establish effective project governance, reporting and accountability.
• Monitor project performance against time, cost, quality and scope.
• Identify risks, issues, delays and potential cost impacts early and implement effective solutions.
• Provide Management with clear, commercially sound recommendations and regular project reporting.
• Lead and coordinate the main contractor, subcontractors and construction teams.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship, quality and compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Drive snagging, practical completion, commissioning and final handover.
• Ensure the warehouse remains operational during construction and manage access plans to minimise disruption.
