Job summary

Placements24 in Paarl, Western Cape, seeks a Van Driver to safely transport goods across the region. You will plan daily routes, co-ordinate deliveries and pickups, load and unload cargo, and keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.

Requirements: Code B or higher license with PrDP, 3+ years driving, GPS experience, and strong communication. Independent, reliable, punctual, and customer‑facing. Competitive salary and benefits in a modern fleet environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Code B or higher driver's license and PrDP.
• Minimum 3 years of professional driving in logistics/delivery.
• Clean driving record with no major infringements.
• Excellent knowledge of Paarl and surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and punctual with the ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with GPS navigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van to transport goods to designated locations within the region.
• Plan and execute daily routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload goods securely, maintaining cargo integrity.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Maintain delivery logs and required documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions.
• Communicate with dispatch and management regarding route progress and challenges.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
